Contraception Is Not the Answer

Pandora's Box

September 22-23, 2006, the Pro-Life Action League gathered experts from several key fields to discuss the problems of contraception. Contrary to conventional wisdom, contraception is not the answer for reducing abortion; on the contrary, by unraveling the interior meaning of sex and the relationship between man and women, contraception actually increses abortion.

The entire Contraception Is Not the Answer conference is available on audio CD from LCE Media, either as a complete album or as individual talks. For a full report on the conference, see Contraception Is Not the Answer: Experts at League Conference Expose the Root Cause of Abortion from the Fall 2006 Action News.

Silver Jubilee Gala

25 Years Logo

On October 2, 2005, the Pro-Life Action League celebrated twenty five years of pro-life activism with a gala banquet at the Drury Lane Oak Brook Terrace. The League was founded in 1980 by Joe Scheidler, who has been fighting abortion full-time since 1973.

The invocation was offered by Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, and Relevant Radio's Drew Mariani delivered the keynote address. For a full report see "25th Anniversary Gala Dinner Honors Drew Mariani" from the Fall 2005 issue of Action News.

Bring America Back to Life

Uncle Sam with Baby

On June 6, 2003, the Pro-Life Action League celebrated our 8-1 victory in the Supreme Court in NOW v. Scheidler with a full day of events. We began with a Victory Rally in Federal Plaza, across from where the 1998 district trial was held, at which pro-life leaders from the world over spoke on the significance of the court ruling.

This was followed by workshops on pro-life activism at the Congress Hotel, to convert the court victory into greater activism on behalf of unborn babies and their mothers. The day ended with a gala banquet with over 500 pro-lifers congratulating Joe Scheidler on his win in the courts. For a full report see "Pro-Life Activists Celebrate 8-1 Victory" from the June 2003 Action News.
